of her military service in the IDF.  Working on instruction manuals for the operation of military equipment, she fell in love with type and design
and making information quickly

accessible and easy to digest. After completing her service, she went on to study Art History at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  After moving to the US in 1977, Dorit went on to study graphic design at the School of Visual Art where she earned her B.A. in Graphic Design.

While still at school, Dorit started to freelance
at some top New York studios such as Anthony Russell Design and Carla Hall Design Group. Dorit has been working as an independent designer since 1991 collaborating with other designers, photographers, printers and web programmers to create marketing materials

for Jewish Non-profits and Education institutes.

After moving to Maplewood, NJ, Julie started to work in editorial and advertising design for several New Jersey publications. Julie collaborates with Tabak Design on a variety of editorial projects.
